We're bordering on ridiculous here and I say "we" because a few people are clearly enabling me to produce increasingly esoteric Larry Fitzgerald breakdowns.
This began innocently enough with a look at Fitzgerald's numbers with and without Anquan Boldin. It escalated with a look at Fitzgerald's numbers without Warner.
Ryan took it to another level when he asked, "How bout Fitz stats without Warner and without Boldin?"
I couldn't resist dialing it up.
We're talking about eight regular-season games. Matt Leinart started two of these games, both in 2007. Fitzgerald caught nine passes for 136 yards and one touchdown in a 34-31 victory over the Rams. Fitzgerald caught 10 passes for 120 yards and no touchdowns during a 21-14 victory over the Steelers (update: Warner played in both games off the bench, but Leinart completed passes for 38, 27, 14, 14 and 12 yards to Fitzgerald in these games).
There you have it. We can now safely say Arizona will dominate the league with Leinart at quarterback, Fitzgerald at receiver and Boldin out of the picture.
