Updated: NFC West rookie signing statuses

The San Francisco 49ers' contract agreements with rookies Anthony Davis and Navorro Bowman leave seven NFC West draft choices without contract agreements.

The 49ers are close to a deal with second-round choice Taylor Mays, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. (Update: Mays has signed.) The Arizona Cardinals are expecting to sign second-rounder Daryl Washington at some point Friday.

I'd say NFC West draft choices are pretty much on pace with these signings and agreements. The chart shows signed and unsigned draft choices. I'm using the word "signed" loosely; in some cases, players have agreed to terms on deals and the signings are imminent. Teams sometimes have to clear roster spots to make room for draft choices in relation to 80-man roster limits.

The St. Louis Rams say they are optimistic they'll have a deal with No. 1 overall pick Sam Bradford sooner than later, though nothing is done just yet. Update: The 49ers have signed guard Mike Iupati and the Cardinals have announced Washington's signing.
