The Arizona Cardinals aren't the only NFC West team with interest in free-agent receiver Braylon Edwards.
The San Francisco 49ers are also in the market. They've lined up a visit with Edwards, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Both teams could use help at the position, but the 49ers' needs are more pronounced. Arizona still has Larry Fitzgerald. The 49ers are practicing without starter Michael Crabtree, who continues to recover from a foot injury.
Edwards averaged 17.1 yards per reception with seven touchdowns for the New York Jets last season. He caught 53 passes for 904 yards. Dropped passes have been a problem for Edwards at times. The 49ers want their receivers to block in the running game. Edwards has done a better job in this area recently, according to the Scouts Inc. Insider report on him.
