Silver linings: Rams vs. Ravens

The facts: The St. Louis Rams fell to 0-3 with a 37-7 home defeat to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

The upside: Even the worst defeats tend to feature a bright spot or two.

  • Steven Jackson was active for the game after missing most of the season to a strained quadriceps.

  • Cornerback Justin King forced a fumble with a big hit on scrambling Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco.

  • Quarterback Sam Bradford and running back Cadillac Williams had 16-yard runs in the first quarter.

  • Rookie wide receiver Austin Pettis made a diving sideline grab for his first career reception.

  • Rookie defensive end Robert Quinn got pressure on Flacco a few times, including once in the end zone.

  • Chris Long collected his third sack in as many games.

  • Brandon Gibson caught a 34-yard touchdown pass. With Danny Amendola sidelined, Gibson is on pace for 64 receptions, 837 yards and five touchdowns. All would be career highs.

  • Six division games between Weeks 9-16 give the Rams time to make up for lost ground.

Looking ahead: The Rams are home against the Washington Redskins in Week 4.
