Jackson, Spiller wearing Choice's jersey

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills had perfect attendance at the start of Wednesday's practice, but that wasn't the biggest story from the team's facility.

After veteran running back Tashard Choice was released earlier Wednesday, fellow running backs Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller both wore his No. 20 practice jersey during drills that were open to reporters and cameras.

It could be simply a case of both players honoring their former teammate, who had been with the Bills since 2011. But from the outside looking in, the gesture by Jackson, a team captain, as well as Spiller could also create the impression that the two are protesting the Bills' decision to cut ties with Choice.

We'll know more about the move, and whether it was authorized by coach Doug Marrone, later this afternoon.
