It appears Oakland quarterback Bruce Gradkowski could miss the final three games of the season.
GradkowskiThe San Francisco Chronicle is reporting Gradkowski injured both knees in the third quarter of a 34-13 loss to Washington on Sunday.
Gradkowski tore the miniscus ligament in his left knee and partially tore the one in his other knee, the paper reported. He is supposed to get an MRI on Monday. Gradkowski wouldn’t rule himself out for the season Sunday.
But it could be the case. That would be a shame for him. He was playing well since taking over for JaMarcus Russell. Gradkowski was 2-1 as the starter going into Sunday’s home game. He gave Oakland life like Russell never did.
He could be in the mix as Oakland’s starter next year even if he doesn’t play the rest of the season. Russell didn’t do anything to help his cause for future playing time as he played poorly Sunday in Gradkowski’s absence.
