CINCINNATI -- Baltimore Ravens running back Bernard Pierce is a healthy scratch for the first time in his three-year career.
Pierce, a third-round pick in 2012, went from a starter in Week 2 to inactive in Week 8. He had averaged below 3 yards per carry in three of five games this season, including the past two weeks.
This means the Ravens are going with two running backs: Justin Forsett and rookie fourth-round pick Lorenzo Taliaferro. The Ravens have six wide receivers suited up: Steve Smith, Torrey Smith, Marlon Brown, Kamar Aiken, Michael Campanaro and Jacoby Jones.
The Ravens' starting left side of their offensive line -- tackle Eugene Monroe and guard Kelechi Osemele -- are active in the same game for the first time since Week 3.
