The New Orleans Saints signed 13 undrafted free agents. Here's a closer look at each player, including information provided by the Saints' press release:
DL Tavaris Barnes, Clemson: The Saints double-dipped in Clemson's defense after drafting Tigers linebacker Stephone Anthony in Round 1. Barnes (6-3, 275) played in 47 career games with four starts, 64 tackles, five sacks, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries -- one of which went for a touchdown.
DL Kaleb Eulls, Mississippi State: One of the highest-rated players in this UFA class, Eulls started all 52 games he played for the Bulldogs, helping them rise to prominence with a No. 1 ranking at one point last season. The 6-4, 285-pounder finished with 118 tackles, four sacks, 8.5 tackles for loss and one fumble recovery. He also gained national recognition in high school for rescuing a bus full of students from a girl wielding a gun.
G Doniel Gambrell, Notre Dame College: The 6-6, 315-pounder is the first player from Notre Dame College in Euclid, Ohio, to join a NFL team, according to the Saints' press release. He was a two-time first-team All-Mountain East honoree at right tackle.
WR R.J. Harris, New Hampshire: Harris put up monster numbers last year as a first-team FCS All-American selection by the Associated Press. The 6-foot, 194-pounder had 100 catches for 1,551 yards and 15 touchdowns. For his career, Harris had 310 catches for 4,328 yards and 36 touchdowns. He was the all-time receptions leader in the Colonial Athletic Association.
OT Sean Hickey, Syracuse: ESPN analyst Todd McShay had Hickey rated No. 220 overall in his final draft rankings (256 players were drafted). Hickey (6-6, 306) was a three-year starter for Syracuse, finishing his career as a left tackle.
WR Malcome Kennedy, Texas A&M: The 6-foot, 205-pounder had 150 catches for 1,694 yards and 15 touchdowns in his career. He had 53 catches for 611 yards and six TDs as a senior.
G Cyril Lemon, North Texas: The 6-3, 315-pounder played both guard and tackle during his career. He was named to the all-Conference USA first team as both a junior and senior.
DL Ashaad Mabry, Texas-San Antonio: Mabry played all four years with 12 career starts. The 6-3, 315-pounder had 49 tackles as a senior.
LB Markus Pierce-Brewster, West Texas A&M: This is the third straight year the Saints have either signed a UFA or invited a tryout player from West Texas A&M, where they discovered running back Khiry Robinson in 2013. Pierce-Brewster (6-3, 243) was named to the all-Lone Star Conference defensive team last year after previous stints at City College of San Francisco and Syracuse University.
DL Bobby Richardson, Indiana: Another highly-rated UFA, Richardson had 27 career starts in college and finished his four-year career with 129 tackles, 11 sacks, 22 tackles for loss, three blocked kicks and two forced fumbles. The 6-3, 286-pounder was an honorable mention all-Big Ten selection in 2014.
LB Stephon Sanders, SMU: The 6-3, 250-pounder was a three-year starter who finished his four-year career with 230 tackles and 10 sacks. He had 70 tackles, 2.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss and four pass defenses as a senior.
TE Harold Spears, New Hampshire: The 6-4, 255-pounder was a first-team all-Colonial Athletic Association selection last year with 56 receptions for 838 yards and five touchdowns. He had 111 catches for 1,639 yards and 12 TDs in his four-year career.
TE Jack Tabb, North Carolina: Tabb (6-3, 250), had 26 catches for 257 yards and three touchdowns as a senior. He had 47 receptions of 534 yards and three TDs in his four-year career.
