D.J. Humphries, Troy Niklas slated to return to practice

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Slowly and surely the Cardinals are getting their injured players back on the field.

Rookie tackle D.J. Humphries was expected to return to practice Tuesday while second-year tight end Troy Niklas was cleared to play, coach Bruce Arians said. A day after he returned to practice from a hamstring injury, running back Andre Ellington was to fully practice, Arians said.

Arians also said tight end Jermaine Gresham would increase his reps Tuesday while cornerback Shaq Richardson was also slated to return to the field.

Inside linebacker Sean Weatherspoon will go through individual drills Tuesday and then Arians said he'll determine what kind of work load Weatherspoon can handle in the short term.

Arians said cornerback Jerraud Powers would be out for another day.
