DAVIE, Fla. -- The Miami Dolphins survived a very physical game in Washington to beat the Redskins this past Sunday. But the victory didn’t come without repercussions.
Miami suffered injuries to three starters on defense and two backup players, and that impacted Miami’s participation in practice.
Dolphins starting safety Reshad Jones (hamstring), reserve tight end Dion Sims (concussion) and reserve defensive end Derrick Shelby (eye) did not participate in practice Wednesday, according to Miami’s official injury report. These are the three players whose status is the most uncertain heading into Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Miami starting defensive ends Cameron Wake (hamstring) and Olivier Vernon (ankle) also had limited participation in practice Wednesday. The Dolphins will resume practice Thursday at 11:55 a.m. ET.
