Marcus Mariota outguns Drew Brees (1:39)

NFL Nation reporters Paul Kuharsky and Mike Triplett hand out game balls to the QBs after Titans rookie Marcus Mariota one-upped Drew Brees in an overtime stunner. (1:39)

Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota looked spectacular on Sunday in his first action since suffering a knee injury and missing two games. He had four touchdown passes and no turnovers in an overtime victory over the Saints.

Quarterback Jameis Winston and the Buccaneers lost to the Giants, though Winston was solid. He had 249 yards passing and a leaping touchdown run. The Bucs also kicked five field goals, and Connor Barth made four.

We're tallying up the statistics and evaluating the performances of the 2015 NFL draft's top two picks. Here are the results from Week 9:

Mariota: 28-of-39 passing, 371 yards, four touchdowns, zero interceptions in Tennessee's 34-28 overtime win over New Orleans.

From Paul Kuharsky: While it took Mariota some time to get going, the rookie quarterback played with great poise and was very effective. Read the rest of the story here.

Winston: 19-of-36 passing, 249 yards, one rushing touchdown, no interceptions, in Tampa Bay's 32-18 loss to the New York Giants.

From Andrew Astleford: Winston played another disciplined game from the pocket. His numbers would have been better if not for some costly drops by Mike Evans and Doug Martin. This was Winston's fourth consecutive game without an interception. Read the rest of the story here.
