Patriots QB Tom Brady finishes No. 1 in Pro Bowl fan voting

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady received 701,554 fan votes to lead all NFL players in voting for the 2016 Pro Bowl, as he narrowly edged Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton (701,086).

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton (525,638), Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer (514,967) and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (510,374) round out the top five.

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski had the highest total of fan votes among non-quarterbacks, ranking sixth overall (509,251).

Fan voting accounts for one-third of the process, as it is combined with votes from players and coaches.
