Turf war: Packers plan draft party in heart of Bears' territory

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- How many NFL teams can host a draft party in the city where one of their fiercest rivals plays?

The Green Bay Packers might be the only one.

The Packers announced Wednesday that they're hosting two draft-related events -- one at Lambeau Field and another in Chicago.

The Chicago event will be April 28 for the first round of the draft. The Packers are calling it a pep rally that will take place at a Chicago neighborhood bar called Will's Northwoods Inn, a Packers-centric bar less than 8 miles from Soldier Field. Former players Mark Chmura, Gary Ellerson, Mark Tauscher and Frank Winters are scheduled to appear, according to information on the Packers website.

The Packers held a pep rally at the same Chicago location before their 2014 game against the Chicago Bears.

The Packers also will hold a more traditional draft party April 30 at Lambeau Field's 1919 Kitchen & Tap.
