Several NFL players across the league have joined San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick since he began a pregame protest of racial oppression and inequality in the United States by sitting down during the national anthem before a preseason game, then kneeling during it in Week 1. Here are the players who protested in Week 4:
San Francisco 49ers: 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, safety Eric Reid and linebacker Eli Harold continued to kneel during the national anthem, before the matchup against the Cowboys. Safeties Jaquiski Tartt and Antoine Bethea and cornerbacks Rashard Robinson and Keith Reaser also again raised their right fists during the anthem. -- Nick Wagoner
Denver Broncos: Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall took a knee during the national anthem in Tampa on Sunday. Marshall has taken a knee during the anthem for each of the Broncos’ four games this season. -- Jeff Legwold
Los Angeles Rams: Defensive end William Hayes joined Robert Quinn by raising his right fist during the national anthem before Sunday's game in Arizona. Quinn has been doing it since Week 1, but this was the first time for Quinn to do it. -- Alden Gonzalez
San Diego Chargers: Guard Joe Barksdale, guard D.J. Fluker, linebacker Joshua Perry, and tackle Chris Hairston on Sunday against the Saints once again raised their fists during the national anthem to protest police brutality and racial oppression. Tackle Tyreek Burwell joined them this week. King Dunlap raised his fist last week, but he did not this week. -- Eric D. Williams
Washington Redskins: Wide receiver DeSean Jackson made a social statement regarding the "senseless killings of both citizens and police" by wearing specially designed cleats during warm-ups before Sunday's game against the Browns at FedEx Field. He changed cleats before the game began but wore them during the national anthem. -- John Keim
Oakland Raiders: Linebackers Bruce Irvin and Malcolm Smith both raised a right fist during the national anthem prior to Oakland’s game at the Ravens. Standing next to each other, they raised their fists at the end of the song. It was the second consecutive week they raised a fist. -- Paul Gutierrez
Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks linked arms together and stood as a demonstration of unity during the national anthem before their game against the Jets. It was the fourth straight week they did so. -- Sheil Kapadia
Tennessee Titans: Cornerback Jason McCourty, defensive tackle Jurrell Casey, linebacker Wesley Woodyard and defensive end DaQuan Jones raised a fist after the national anthem prior to the Titans' game against the Texans. -- Paul Kuharsky
Indianapolis Colts: Cornerback Antonio Cromartie took a knee and held a fist up during the national anthem for the second straight week prior to Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Cromartie said after their Week 3 game against San Diego that he planned to continue to take a knee going forward. -- Mike Wells
Miami Dolphins: Dolphins safety Michael Thomas and wide receiver Kenny Stills continued their protests on Thursday night, kneeling during the national anthem before the game against the Bengals. -- Katherine Terrell
