Ravens know how to rebound

The Ravens can clinch the AFC North on Sunday if they win at the Redskins in addition to the Steelers and Bengals both losing at home. Baltimore missed its chance of earning a playoff berth last week when it lost to a third-string quarterback at home. But the Ravens rarely string together back-to-back disappointing performances.

The Ravens haven’t lost consecutive games since losing three straight in 2009. Baltimore has the longest active streak of games played (54) since its last losing streak, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

Of the 15 victories that have followed losses in this streak, the Ravens have:

  • Scored 30 or more points nine times

  • Held teams to 14 or fewer points seven times

  • Uutscored opponents, 441-249, which is an average margin of 12.8 points

The key to avoiding a losing streak has been the play of their quarterback. Over the past four seasons, Flacco has completed 64 percent of his passes for 3,661 yards after losses with 23 touchdowns and four interceptions.
