Philadelphia Flyers GM Paul Holmgren announced on Wednesday night that the team would be without Scott Hartnell indefinitely.
"Scott will be out indefinitely with a left foot injury. We will know more on this within a day or two as we await results of tests," Holmgren said in a statement released by the team.
Hartnell was hit by a shot taken by teammate Kimmo Timonen in Tuesday's loss to the New Jersey Devils.
The Flyers are awaiting the results of tests to have a better idea of when Hartnell will return.
