Gretzky reacts to Hall breaking his record

Taylor Hall scored two goals in 8 seconds to break an Oilers record held by Wayne Gretzky.

On Feb. 18, 1981, Gretzky scored two goals 9 seconds apart.

So what was the Great One thinking on Thursday night?

"That is so cool, good for him, he's a great kid. Records are so made to be broken, it's good for the game," Wayne Gretzky told ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun via text. "If Kevin Lowe would have got me the puck quicker it would have been 7 seconds!"
