Rumblings: Canucks putting goalie on trade market

The Ottawa Senators aren’t the only club with the luxury of a crowded crease and an asset for sale. The Vancouver Canucks will soon join them with a goalie on the market -- but which one still remains to be seen. The Canucks will conduct their pro scouting meetings over the next few days in Utica, New York, at which point a source says they will decide whether Eddie Lack or Jacob Markstrom will be put on the trade market ahead of the NHL draft. The Canucks don’t have a second- or third- round pick in the draft, so replenishing in that area will be a priority.

Suddenly it’s a busy goalie market, when you consider the Ottawa Senators' Robin Lehner is also out there as well as Cam Talbot of the New York Rangers. Plus, there’s pending unrestricted free agents such as Karri Ramo and Antti Niemi, among others.

And Devan Dubnyk still hasn’t re-signed with the Minnesota Wild as the clock ticks closer toward July 1.

There's going to be some interesting movement of netminders this offseason.
