Robinson's son, three others make varsity

Denzel Robinson -- son of North Carolina assistant coach Steve Robinson -- is one of four walk-ons who have officially made the UNC varsity roster, the team announced via its Twitter account Thursday.

Robinson is a 6-foot-4, 215 pound junior who used to sit on the end of the Tar Heels' bench when he was in middle school. He is joined by 6-4 senior Frank Tanner (the younger brother of former walk-on J.B.); 6-0 junior Wade Moody; and 6-6 junior James Manor.

All four are former UNC JV players, and will be on the bench when the Tar Heels face Shaw in an exhibition game at the Smith Center on Friday.
