If Carr can exploit the Jets’ issues at cornerback, the Raiders could be in business. Plus, the Raiders had some success on the ground against the Jets last year, which isn’t easy. If the Raiders get in rhythm on the ground, it could be a good day.
But I am picking against the Raiders right now because I want to see how all the new pieces work together before showing faith. Again, I expect a competitive game, but I think the Jets’ defense may give the home team the edge.
The Raiders will lose their 14th straight game in the Eastern Time Zone dating back to 2009. But I expect this to be a four-quarter game.
My prediction: Jets 17, Raiders 14
