Denver Broncos executive vice president of football operations and general manager John Elway knows a thing or two about quarterbacks. As a team executive, he has built a new Broncos powerhouse that won a Super Bowl. Elway appears content, as of now, to trust the team to quarterback Mark Sanchez, since he doesn't appear to be rushing toward acquiring another quarterback.

Of course, "dormant" doesn't mean that the trade talks for Colin Kaepernick are dead. He may still be a option for Denver if Sanchez gets injured or falters in upcoming practice sessions. While Sanchez, who is of Mexican heritage, has done well in the early going in offseason camp. Other options may surface next week around the NFL Draft. The draft starts on April 28.
