The Los Angeles Dodgers this season are relying on the hits of Adrian Gonzalez more than ever and the Mexican-American slugger has responded, leading the club in home runs (3), runs batted in (15) and batting average (.347). The first baseman, whose off-season training includes boxing, has been a consistent force for the Dodgers so far this season.
Gonzalez doesn't just practice boxing -- he is also a fan of the sport and specifically, of Mexican boxer Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Gonzalez sported a "CA" (Canelo Alvarez) hat in a photo he posted on social media.

Alvarez is fighting Amir Khan on May 7 in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena. Alvarez (46-1-1, 32 KOs), at only 25, is already considered to be one of the best boxers Mexico has produced. Khan (31-3, 19 KOs), 29, a 2004 Olympic silver medalist, is looking to upset Alvarez. The two will fight at a catch weight of 155 lbs.
