Who's going to win? Week 12 Pac-10 picks

Another 4-1 week makes me 47-16 for the season and continues the brisk recent pace in which 20 of the past 23 picks have been zeroed in.

Wish this luck would hang around for my annual Vegas trip, but I'm not betting on it.

Oregon 35, Arizona 28: Arizona is tough at home -- it's won 12 of 14 in Arizona Stadium, including all five this season -- and the crowd will be energized. But Oregon has been the Pac-10's best all-around team throughout the season and this is the type of game a conference's best team wins.

Stanford 30, California 27: Cal's defense awoke last week against Arizona, and the Bears have been mostly good against the run this year. So Toby Gerhart can't win back " The Axe" on his own. It's going to take a good day from Cardinal quarterback Andrew Luck, and there's no reason to believe he won't produce it playing at home.

UCLA 21, Arizona State 17: Got a feeling this one will be pretty gritty. These are two desperate teams struggling to get bowl eligible that probably would finish in the top half of any other conference in the country. The Bruins get the edge because quarterback Kevin Prince is playing well and they are at home.

Oregon State 48, Washington State 10: The Beavers could probably name the score here.
