The college football TV schedule is organic. It blossoms as the summer rolls on.
Here's what we have so far for the Pac-12 2012 schedule for ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN Classic and ESPN3.
Aug. 30 Washington State at BYU, 10: 15 pm, ESPN
Sept. 7 Utah at Utah State, 8 p.m., ESPN2
Sept. 8 USC at Syracuse, TBD, ABC, ESPN or ESPN2
Sept. 14 Washington State at UNLV, 9 p.m. ESPN
Not much, eh?
We won't know until June which games will be on ESPN, ABC, Fox or the Pac-12 Network. As Bud Withers points out here, the Pac-12 and its network partners will have a draft "in the next couple of weeks," picking which games go where. And don't underestimate the quality of games that will be on the Pac-12 Network, which will broadcast 35 football games this fall.
"In seven of the first 13 weeks of football," Pac-12 Enterprises president Gary Stevenson told Withers, "we have either the first or second pick on the schedule."
