Quick look at Week 1 Pac-12 games

Here's a quick look at Week 1 in the Pac-12.

All times are ET. And all records are 0-0. For this week only!

Thursday

Northern Colorado at Utah, 7:15 p.m. Pac-12 Network: And the season begins! These teams last played in 1937, with Utah winning 7-6.

Northern Arizona at Arizona State, 10:30 p.m., Pac-12 Network: Todd Graham's debut as Sun Devils coach, as well as Taylor Kelly as Sun Devils quarterback.

UCLA at Rice, 7:30 p.m. CBSSN: Jim Mora makes his UCLA coaching debut on the road with redshirt freshman Brett Hundley leading his offense.

Washington State at BYU, 10:15 ESPN: Mike Leach makes his Washington State debut at his alma mater. Will quarterback Jeff Tuel & Co. immediately look comfortable in Leach's pass-happy scheme? Big game for WSU's bowl hopes.

Friday

San Jose State at No. 21 Stanford, 10 p.m., Pac-12 Network: New Stanford quarterback Josh Nunes is only replacing Andrew Luck. No pressure. The Cardinal lead the all-time series 57-3.

Saturday

Nevada at California, 3 p.m., Pac-12 Network: The opening of newly renovated Memorial Stadium. Also notable that the Bears last met the Wolf Pack in 2010 -- and lost 52-31.

Nicholls State at Oregon State, 3 p.m., Pac-12 Network: The Beavers open with an FCS team. They hope this time goes better than last year, when they fell at home to Sacramento State.

Colorado vs. Colorado State (Denver), 4 p.m., FX: An in-state rivalry game that could set a positive tone for the Buffaloes forgiving early slate. The debut of Kansas transfer Jordan Webb at quarterback.

Hawaii at No. 1 USC, 7:30 p.m., Fox: USC starts the season ranked No. 1 and boasts the nation's top Heisman Trophy candidate in quarterback Matt Barkley. Former Trojans offensive coordinator Norm Chow is now Hawaii's head coach. USC is 7-0 all-time against the Warriors, including a 49-36 win in 2010.

San Diego State at Washington, 10:30 p.m., Pac-12 Network: Former Oregon State quarterback Ryan Katz is the new San Diego State signal-caller. The Huskies lead the series 2-0, last winning 36-3 in 1997. How will the new-look Huskies defense play under new coordinator Justin Wilcox?

Arkansas State at No. 5 Oregon, 10:30 p.m., ESPN: The debut of new Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota. Arkansas State is coached by former Auburn offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn.

Toledo at Arizona, 10:30 p.m., ESPNU: The debut of new Wildcats coach Rich Rodriguez. The Wildcats won at Toledo 41-2 in 2010.
