Oregon football players stuck in elevator

Football players often dislike the feeling of being cooped up in a hotel all day waiting to play a game. But, what about being cooped up in an elevator?

That's what happened to several Oregon football players this morning before their 10 p.m. game against Colorado.

Lucky for us, wide receiver Devon Allen (who has experience being stuck in elevators) was there to live tweet it.

Based on Allen's tweets, it looks like the elevator got stuck between two floors. The local fire department showed up to take care of the situation, but not before -- and team nutritionist Pratik Patel will feel good about this -- Allen made sure his teammates were properly hydrated. And somewhere on the stairs, Oregon ball boy Kwame Mitchell made a very smart decision. From Allen's first tweet to his last it looks like it was just a 20 minute ordeal thanks to the fire department. And though the ladders apparently only held up to 300 pounds and Allen said there were at least three 300-plus pound offensive linemen stuck in the elevator, everyone got out OK.
