Those pebbles on the ground shaking next to you, that's Stanford and Utah on a collision course for the Pac-12 championship game.
The Cardinal and Utes don't play in the regular season and, at this point, are the clear front-runners in their divisions. Stanford has rival Cal nipping at its heels, but Utah remains undefeated while every other team in the Pac-12 South has at least two losses.
After those three? Round and round we go. There's never a way to do these bowl projections without showing some signs of flawed logic, but this week was particularly tough. So instead of trying to rationalize them, I won't even bother. The reality is 10 teams have a decent shot to reach bowl eligibility, and seven of them have comparable resumes at this point. Here's where they might, but probably won't, end up come bowl season.
