Time for our weekly tip of the cap to three players in the Pac-12 who stood out in Week 8. Three pretty easy choices this week.
Gabe Marks, WR, Washington State: Marks was the recipient of four of Luke Falk's five touchdown passes in the Cougars 45-42 win over Arizona. He became the first WSU player to catch four touchdowns in a game, finishing with eight catches for 97 yards to go with the quartet of scores.
Cameron Smith, LB, USC: The freshman was prolific in the Trojans' 42-24 win over No. 3 Utah. Besides leading the team with nine tackles, he also hauled in three interceptions, returning one of them 54 yards for a touchdown. He becomes the first USC player to record three picks in a game since Jason Oliver did it against Penn State in 1991.
Ka'imi Fairbairn, K, UCLA: 60-yard field goal. 'Nuff said. But if for some reason that's not enough for you, Fairbairn converted all four field goal attempts from 44, 24, 20 and 60 yards in UCLA's 40-24 win over Cal .
