ESPN Radio show says Ben Roethlisberger too uncool for QB school

Who are the coolest QBs in NFL? (2:37)

The Dan Le Batard Show breaks down the "cool factor" of the top quarterbacks in the NFL, including Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson and Cam Newton. (2:37)

With Russell Wilson's search-engine love letter to Ciara sparking the conversation, the folks at the Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz decided to break down cool quarterbacks -- as Le Batard put it, "guys who exude cool."

The list began with Cam Newton, Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. All quality choices.

What about Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger?

"No, he exudes looking like what your 4-year-old child might draw if asked to draw a human," Le Batard said.

Well, at least that doesn't place Roethlisberger in the show's "dorky" category, where Eli Manning and Andy Dalton reside.

Actually, this is a fairly pertinent topic when it comes to Roethlisberger, because he's made efforts in recent years to tone down the coolness. One could argue his attempts at cool got him in trouble early in his career. He's in a it's-good-to-be-uncool phase of his career.

Roethlisberger isn't trying to exude anything other than football. He goes for the bushy beard look in season. Clearly not cool. He doesn't exactly inspire GQ photo shoots with his press conferences. He doesn't seem to crave endorsements. And all that's OK.

He does have two factors in his favor here.

His nickname, Big Ben, is one of the game's best.

And he did throw snowballs in that epic Nike "snow day" commercial.

Only the important topics, folks!
