An homage to Macklemore's 'Thrift Shop'

"Only got 20 dollars in my pocket ..."

That's a line from the No. 1 hit "Thrift Shop" by Seattle rapper and huge sports fan Macklemore.

The song about spending less to look fly was No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks, and this past weekend Macklemore appeared on NBC's "Saturday Night Live."

The 29-year-old, born Ben Haggerty, told MTV he shops at thrift shops probably "five times a week." (In fact, thrift shops have seen an increase in business since the song hit last fall.)

"Rappers talk about, 'Oh, I buy this and I buy that, and I spend this much money and I make it rain, and this type of champagne and painting the club,' and this is the kind of record that's the exact opposite," he said. "... You have to think, 'I'm on a treasure hunt, and I have no idea what the treasure looks like.'"

So, as an homage to Macklemore, Playbook went to several thrift shops to see what sports items we could find to total to $20. We found 10 items.
