John Elway talks Peyton, 'successaholic'

It's a little cringe-worthy watching Hall of Famer John Elway talk about dancing.

But that's why Elway made a perfect pitchman for Dove's Men+Care Journey to Comfort campaign, along with Doug Flutie.

Playbook had a few minutes with Elway, who is the executive vice president of football operations for the Denver Broncos.

How has it been with Peyton Manning as your quarterback?

"We've been thrilled to have Peyton this season. There are great expectations, but we know he'll play great. We're excited about the year and excited about Peyton. It's a tough schedule, but some of the moves we've made through free agency and the draft, there is some excitement here about the opportunity to compete for the world championship."

Do you consider yourself a workaholic?

"I don't think I am. I think I'm a successaholic. To be good at anything you do, you have to put your mind to it. Maybe that means you need to be a workaholic to get there. But I really enjoy being successful. You have to work hard at what you do and love what you do. I'm in that position right now."

Do you wish you were still playing the game?

"After 16 years in the game and 12 years out of it, I'm excited about the position I'm in now. I would like to have that 25-year-old body. I'm sure that would feel better on a Monday morning than a 52-year-old body I have now. But, hey, I'm very comfortable in my own skin!"
