SAN DIEGO -- Eric Weddle was the only member of the San Diego Chargers selected to this year's Associated Press All-Pro team.
Weddle earned 16 first-place votes, joining Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas (39) as the safeties on this year's first team. Glover Quinn of the Detroit Lions and Seattle's Kam Chancellor were chosen as safeties on the second team.
Weddle, 29, led the Chargers with 114 combined tackles, the third time in his eight-year career that he finished with at least 100 tackles in a season. Weddle also forced two fumbles, corralled an interception and finished with eight pass breakups.
Weddle is the only safety in the NFL named first or second-team All-Pro for five straight seasons.
