SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- The first of a handful of expected reinforcements for the San Francisco 49ers has arrived as nose tackle Glenn Dorsey has started practicing after missing the first seven games, the team announced Monday.
Dorsey began the season on the injured reserve/designated to return list after suffering a torn left biceps in training camp.
The 49ers now have three weeks to place him on the active roster or put him on season-ending IR.
There are still reports of linebacker Aldon Smith's nine-game suspension possibly being reduced this week and linebacker NaVorro Bowman continues his rehab. Running back Marcus Lattimore is also expected to begin practicing soon.
