Has Jarryd Hayne already clinched a 49ers' 53-man roster spot?

The San Francisco 49ers close out their preseason schedule at 10 p.m. ET Thursday against the San Diego Chargers at Levi's Stadium. Here's a couple things to watch for during the game:

Why watch: Beyond it being a chance to see the Niners' new starting right guard in Jordan Devey -- it is doubtful the entire starting offensive line will play together, said coach Jim Tomsula -- it is also an opportunity to watch the bubble guys make their final cases for a spot on the initial 53-man roster, which will be announced less than 48 hours after the game. Plus, it is another occasion to kick back and watch Australian rugby league star Jarryd Hayne field and return punts as he continues his conversion to NFL player, mate.

Did you know: A hamstring injury to left cornerback Tramaine Brock, who was limited to three games last year because of toe, ankle and hamstring issues, has the Niners in a standstill when it comes to naming the other starting corner. Will it be Kenneth Acker, who picked off Peyton Manning in the end zone last week and broke up another would-be TD pass? Might it be Keith Reaser? What about Dontae Johnson or even Shareece Wright?
