49ers rookie DeForest Buckner among those dealing with injuries

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- It's the natural order of things for a Monday afternoon injury report on the teams playing in the Thursday night game to be full of names.

The San Francisco 49ers were no exception Monday as they began preparations for Thursday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. The team announced Monday that linebacker NaVorro Bowman suffered a torn left Achilles against the Dallas Cowboys and will miss the rest of the season.

But the 49ers also had other injuries coming out of the Dallas game, including one to No. 7 overall pick DeForest Buckner. Buckner suffered a foot injury and left Levi's Stadium with his left foot in a walking boot and with the help of crutches. The 49ers had a walk-through Monday which means the injury report is an estimate of player participation.

Buckner was among those listed as not participating. Receiver Jeremy Kerley (ankle), cornerback Jimmie Ward (quadriceps) and Bowman were also listed as non-participants. Bowman will be added to the injured reserve list in the coming days.

Here's the full breakdown of Monday's injury report:

Did not participate: LB Navorro Bowman (achilles), DT DeForest Buckner (foot), WR Jeremy Kerley (ankle), CB Jimmie Ward (quadricep).

Limited participation: G Zane Beadles (ankle), CB Chris Davis (quadricep), TE Vance McDonald (hip).

Full participation: DT Arik Armstead (shoulder), S Marcus Cromartie (ankle), DT Quinton Dial (knee), DT Glenn Dorsey (knee), DT Mike Purcell (ankle), CB Keith Reaser (ankle), S Jaquiski Tartt (knee), G Andrew Tiller (ankle).
