"It's an honor to be the host," Wilson said on Q13 Fox Seattle. "I'm pumped up for it. I'm going to need some help. Michael Strahan did it last year, so I'm following the best of the best. I'll be doing a lot of learning. I can't wait to be the king of the slime. I don't know who I'll get to slime, but I hope I get to slime Derek Jeter."
Wilson makes a weekly appearance at Seattle Children's Hospital to speak to children, many of whom have serious illnesses.
"Kids truly inspire me," Wilson said. "I can't wait to be a dad one day and look out for the little ones. I've had a lot of dreams in my life. I've had a lot of people tell me no and a lot of people tell me I couldn't do it, but I just kept believing. I had amazing parents that kept believing in me."
