Russell Wilson's sister can beat him at one-on-one

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson isn’t the only athlete in his family. In fact, he brags about his little sister, Anna, and her talents on the basketball court.

“She can beat me one-on-one,” Russell said Sunday when speaking at The Rock Church in San Diego. “She has.”

Anna, who will be a senior at Collegiate High School (Richmond, Virginia), committed to play basketball at Stanford as a freshman. She is 8 1/2 years younger than her superstar brother but schools him on the court.

“She can shoot way better than me,” Russell said. “She shoots like Steph Curry. The girl is just -- from out of nowhere -- swish.”

Russell, who many thought was too short to play quarterback in the NFL, was asked if his sister is taller.

“I didn’t say she was taller,” he said while gesturing that they were same height. “She may be a little shorter.”

Russell is listed at 5-foot-11 on the Seahawks' website. Anna, a point guard, is listed at 5-8 on the USA Basketball site. She won a gold medal with the under-17 team last summer.
