Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson reiterated during Wednesday night's pre-ESPYS red carpet show in Los Angeles that he wasn't worried about the uncertainty looming over his rookie contract which expires at the end of this upcoming season.
While standing next to girlfriend Ciara in a purple suit and black shirt and tie ensemble that matched the singer's black and purple dress, he told ESPN's Hannah Storm "it'll all work out."
"I love Seattle, it's a great city," Wilson continued. "I'm going to play my butt off every day. That's all I know, and we'll see what happens."
It appears little has changed since June with respect to Wilson's contract negotiations. On Tuesday, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll spoke briefly about the negotiations (via the Seattle Times) during an appearance at the Sports Humanitarian of the Year Awards also in Los Angeles.
"Well, he's crucial, as are all of our guys, and we want him back playing for us forever," Carroll said. "There's a lot of work being done. It's underway right now and maybe it happens, I don't know. We're hoping for it."
