On neutral field, Seahawks would be favored vs. every NFC team

The Seattle Seahawks will have to go on the road for the first round of the playoffs, and if they are to reach the Super Bowl, chances are they'll need to win three games away from CenturyLink Field.

But after a five-game winning streak, they're receiving a ton of respect from the gambling community.

According to the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, if the Seahawks were to play any NFC team on a neutral field, they would be favored. The only team in the league they would be an underdog against is the New England Patriots, and that would be by 1.5 points. They would be a pick 'em against the Pittsburgh Steelers. And the Seahawks would be favored against every other team in the NFL.

Against Carolina -- again, this would be on a neutral field -- the Seahawks would be 1.5-point favorites. Against Arizona, it would be one point, and against the Green Bay Packers, they would be six-point favorites.

In terms of Super Bowl odds, the Seahawks were at 9-2 to open the season, but fell to 16-1 after Week 10. Now they are all the way back up to 5-1, which is tied for third best.

As for this week against the St. Louis Rams, the Seahawks are favored by anywhere from 13 to 14.5 points. According to ESPN Stats & Information, this will be just the third time in five years that a team has been a double-digit favorite in three straight games.

The Seahawks have covered the spread in every game during their five-game winning streak.
