          Seahawks Camp Report: Day 10

          A daily review of the hot topics coming out of the Seattle Seahawks training camp:

          • Outside linebacker K.J. Wright was the star of the day with two interceptions, one on Terrelle Pryor and one of Russell Wilson. Wright continues to look like a player destined for his first Pro Bowl selection this year. He’s also a free agent after this season, but the Seahawks still are hoping to work out a new deal soon.

          • Cornerback Tharold Simon also had a big day, starting with a nice deflection of a sideline pass. Cornerback Richard Sherman, sort of a mentor for Simon, was so excited about Simon’s effort that he ran across the field from the opposite sideline to congratulate Simon. Practice ended with a wild trick play that resulted in an interception by Simon. The offense lined up for a 20-yard field goal attempt, but holder Jon Ryan took the snap and rolled out to the right. Kicker Steve Hauschka was running in the end zone to the left. Ryan turned and made a pretty nice throw across the field, but Simon made an athletic play to come up with the pick.

          • Wilson and Percy Harvin teamed up for the play of the day by the offense on a 50-yard TD pass. Harvin ran a post and beat safety Terrance Parks in the end zone, hauling in a perfect throw from Wilson.

          • Rookie cornerback Trey Wolfe, who was signed Tuesday, was welcomed to camp by fellow rookie Paul Richardson when the blazing receiver burned Wolfe deep for a 45-yard TD reception from Pryor.

          • Wide receiver Chris Matthews hadn’t done much in camp until Tuesday when he had the catch of the day, a leaping grab over cornerback Byron Maxwell on a deep sideline throw from Wilson.

          • The defense had two fumble recoveries Tuesday. The first one came when safety Steven Terrell knocked the ball out of Demitrius Bronson’s hands while Bronson was running in the secondary, and Bronson recovered it. The second one came when rookie linebacker Jackson Jeffcoat scooped up the ball after knocking it out of Richardson’s hands near the sideline.

          • The Seahawks will have a walkthrough practice Wednesday at 10 a.m. before flying to Denver to play the Broncos Thursday night in their first preseason game. Wednesday’s practice is closed to the public.
