SEC Week 4 bowl projections: Mississippi State makes a move

The SEC's top teams held serve over the weekend, which made for no real movement at the top of our newest bowl projections, but other teams are making a move -- namely, Mississippi State.

The Bulldogs improved to 3-1 and earned their first SEC win of the season with a 17-9 victory over Auburn. That moved the Bulldogs up the pecking order.

Auburn and Missouri, meanwhile, tumbled after losses -- Mizzou dropped a 21-13 decision to Kentucky, and Auburn is 0-2 in conference play and looking like a lost team after coming into the season with high expectations.

Kentucky moved up and is 2-1 in conference. Mark Stoops' Troops continue to trend up. A bowl game was a big goal for the Wildcats this season, and they're halfway to bowl eligibility with eight games remaining. Things are looking good in Big Blue Nation.

Arkansas' drop to 1-3 sent them tumbling out of the bowl projections for now. The Razorbacks' gut-wrenching 28-21 overtime loss to Texas A&M makes three in a row -- and the schedule doesn't get easier for the Hogs.
