ESPN's Mel Kiper has six SEC players on his first Big Board of the season.
The Big Board is a list of the top 25 NFL draft prospects going into the season. The SEC doesn't lead the way, either. The ACC placed seven players on Kiper's first Big Board.
However, four of the top 10 prospects on the Big Board are from the SEC, which is more than any other conference.
Here's how Kiper has the SEC players ranked:
No. 4 -- Georgia receiver A.J. Green
No. 7 -- Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett
No. 8 -- Alabama defensive end Marcell Dareus
No. 9 -- LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson
No. 12 -- Alabama running back Mark Ingram
No. 16 -- Alabama receiver Julio Jones
Before it's all over, I can definitely see Alabama linebacker Dont'a Hightower playing his way onto the Big Board along with Ole Miss nose tackle Jerrell Powe, Florida center Mike Pouncey and Arkansas offensive tackle DeMarcus Love.
