The Auburn trio of Cam Newton, Nick Fairley and Gene Chizik headlined All-SEC awards handed out by the Associated Press on Monday.
Newton was a unanimous selection as the SEC Offensive Player of the Year. Fairley was named as the SEC Defensive Player of the Year and Chizik as the SEC Coach of the Year.
South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore was selected as the SEC Freshman of the Year.
Newton and Fairley were both unanimous first-team All-SEC selections, joining Auburn offensive tackle Lee Ziemba, Arkansas tight end D.J. Williams, LSU defensive tackle Drake Nevis, LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson and LSU place-kicker Josh Jasper.
