McShay's mock draft also SEC-heavy

We tossed out Mel Kiper's latest mock NFL draft on Wednesday, and he had Auburn defensive tackle Nick Fairley, LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson and Alabama defensive end Marcell Dareus going as the top three picks in the draft.

Todd McShay has unveiled his latest mock draft, and like Kiper, has five SEC players going in the top 1o picks. But McShay has Clemson defensive end Da'Quan Bowers going No. 1 overall to the Carolina Panthers instead of Fairley. McShay has Fairley going No. 2 to the Denver Broncos.

McShay also has Georgia receiver A.J. Green being the second SEC player selected after Fairley and going No. 4 to the Cincinnati Bengals. After that, McShay has Peterson going No. 5 to the Arizona Cardinals, Dareus going No. 7 to the San Francisco 49ers and Auburn quarterback Cam Newton going No. 10 to the Washington Redskins.

Kiper had 10 SEC players going in the first round, while McShay has 11 players.

McShay's first round includes LSU defensive tackle Drake Nevis, who's projected to go No. 30 to the Chicago Bears.

McShay also has Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett a lot higher in his first round, going No. 16 to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Kiper had Mallett going No. 25 to the Seattle Seahawks.

Alabama running back Mark Ingram isn't as high in McShay's first round. McShay has Ingram going with the No. 28 pick to the New England Patriots, whereas Kiper has Ingram going No. 15 to the Miami Dolphins.

Here's where McShay has the rest of the SEC players going:
