The Los Angeles Rams' deadline for accepting refundable $100 deposits for 2016 season tickets came to a close on Monday. On Tuesday, the team revealed just how many of those deposits they received.
According to the team, it accepted "more than" 56,000 of the deposits before the deadline. Each deposit allows for the purchase of up to eight tickets with actual seat selection and sale of those seats coming in the next couple of months.
Fans who didn't put down a deposit will still have the ability to access information on how to get on the wait list for seats in the Inglewood stadium set to open in 2019 and details on how and when to purchase potential 2016 single-game tickets.
The Rams opened the window for deposits on Jan. 18. They received 5,000 deposits in the first five minutes after they became available at 1 p.m. ET and another 5,000 had been reserved in the first hour. More than 45,000 fans had put down a deposit in the first 48 hours.
Beyond the first shot at season tickets for this year, those who placed a deposit were also guaranteed a spot on the wait list for the Inglewood venue when it opens. They will also get access to single-game tickets before the public, priority on season tickets in 2017 and 2018 and access to offseason team events.
