Stanford recruiting roundup

A look at what happened in the world of Stanford recruiting over the past week.

  • The Meyer effect? Henry Poggi (Baltimore, Md.), a possible defensive tackle or tight end, was high on Stanford but is going to give Ohio State a close look now that Urban Meyer is running the show, writes ESPN.com's Dave Hooker.

  • In a related story, safety Bam Bradley (Trotwood, Ohio), who previously said the Cardinal were very high on his list, is also getting the hard sell from Meyer, writes ESPN.com's Jared Shanker.

  • I posted this one last week in lunchlinks, but in case you missed it, it's worth revisiting. Stanford and Oklahoma State are both vying for Barry Sanders, and the Fiesta Bowl could be the determining factor (plus video).

  • In more head-to-head Stanford-Oklahoma State recruiting news, it looks like Oklahoma State gets the nod for Wichita Kansas defensive end Trace Clark over the Cardinal and Iowa, writes ESPN.com's Damon Sayles.

  • Mission Vieja offensive lineman Colby Cyburt has a busy January planned, touring five different Pac-12 schools, including Stanford, writes ESPN.com's Greg Biggins.
