On Saturday night the Pro Football Hall of Fame elected seven people to the Class of 2013. Let’s take a snapshot look at the careers of Larry Allen, Cris Carter, Curley Culp, Jonathan Ogden, Bill Parcells, Dave Robinson and Warren Sapp.
LARRY ALLEN
• Named to 11 Pro Bowls, including 10 with the Cowboys
• 10 Pro Bowls are tied for the second-most ever by a Cowboys player
• One of three players to be named to the NFL All-Decade teams of the 1990s and 2000s (Warren Sapp, Willie Roaf)
CRIS CARTER
• Finished career with 1,101 receptions, 13,899 receiving yards and 130 receiving TD. The only other player in NFL history with those totals is Jerry Rice.
• One of 8 players to rank in the top 10 in league history in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns
• When Carter retired, he had 2 seasons with at least 120 catches. Every other player in NFL history had combined for 3
CURLEY CULP
• Defensive tackle that played 14 seasons for Chiefs, Oilers, Lions
• Named 1975 NFL Defensive Player of the Year by Newspaper Enterprise Association
• 6-time Pro Bowl selection and 4-time All-Pro Second Team selection
JONATHAN OGDEN
• First-ever draft pick by Ravens (selected fourth overall in 1996)
• NFL Alumni’s NFL Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2002
• 6-time All-Pro selection and 11-time Pro Bowler
• Named to NFL All-Decade Team of 2000s
BILL PARCELLS
• Only head coach in NFL history to take 4 different franchises to the postseason (Giants, Patriots, Jets, Cowboys).
• At least eight of his former assistants went on to become NFL head coaches, including three that won Super Bowls
• One of 10 coaches to win AP NFL Coach of Year award multiple times
• NFL Coach of the Year 1986, 1994
DAVE ROBINSON
• Linebacker that played 12 seasons for Packers and Redskins
• Second-team All-Pro in 1968 and 1969 and 3-time Pro Bowler
• Named to the NFL All-Decade Team of the 1960s
WARREN SAPP
• 96.5 career sacks is second-most ever by defensive tackle
• 1999 NFL AP Defensive Player of the Year
• Four straight first-team All-Pro selections (1999-2002) and 7-time Pro Bowler
• One of three players to be named to the NFL All-Decade teams of the 1990s and 2000s (Larry Allen, Willie Roaf)
