Bucs want another strong performance from Jameis Winston

TAMPA, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Cleveland Browns in a preseason game Saturday at 7 p.m. ET. Here are a couple of things to watch for during the game.

Why watch: It’s the third preseason outing for rookie quarterback Jameis Winston. If the Bucs stay true to what’s customary around the league, Winston will get his most extensive playing time yet. Starters generally play into the third quarter of the third exhibition game. Winston had a rocky opener against Minnesota, but the Bucs are hoping he can build off a solid performance against Cincinnati in the second preseason game.

Did you know: The Browns defeated the Bucs 22-17 last season and hold a 6-3 edge in the all-time regular-season series. The Bucs have a 4-3 lead in the preseason series. The teams haven’t played in the preseason since 2001, when the Browns won 7-6.
