Bucs' Mike Evans describes how he finally was able to forgive his father's murderer

BRISTOL, Ct. -- The night that Mike Evans was drafted seventh overall by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers should have been one the happiest of his life.

Instead, he couldn't help thinking back to a night 11 years earlier when his father, Mike Evans Jr., was brutally murdered while he slept nearby.

For the first time, Mike Evans and his family detail what happened that night in October 2002 in an emotional and revealing E:60 profile that will air Tuesday night at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN. Evans tells reporter Lisa Salters how he dealt with the death of the man he called his childhood hero -- and how, through a gut-wrenching process, that he was finally able to forgive the man that committed the murder.

E:60 also secured a prison interview with the man that killed Evans' father.

Here is a trailer for the E:60 NFL draft special, which includes the Evans piece.
