TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David wasn’t elected to the Pro Bowl, but he got a higher honor Friday.
The Associated Press released its All-Pro team and David was a first-team outside linebacker. Defensive tackle Gerald McCoy also made the first team.
Both choices are well deserved. David became the seventh player in NFL history to record at least five sacks and five interceptions in the same season. McCoy recorded a career-high nine sacks and was a force in the middle against the run.
